HSG Laser 18-Year Innovation Journey | The Fission Code of the P Series High Power Cutting Head

Post date: 2024-05-09 10:03:57

The core components of the cutting head, cutting control system, and chuck constitute the lifeline of the development of laser cutting equipment makers.

Over the past 18 years, HSG has persistently overcome key technological challenges from 0 to N in a challenging environment.

Following the path of independent innovation, HSG has progressed from nothing to something and continues to advance. In this issue, we delve into the research and development process of the "P Series High Power Cutting Head".

In developing high-power laser cutting heads, HSG faced four major technical challenges: lens technology, optical path design, cooling system, and intelligent control. In 2018, HSG established an optical research and development team in Chiba, Japan, and set up a subsidiary, HSG Co., Ltd., led by top experts in the field of optics, to embark on an independent research and development journey. In response to the above-mentioned four major challenges, HSG provided answers - the P Series High Power Cutting Head.

Challenge One: Optical lenses

HSG continuously improved optical lenses by developing special high-power optical materials and coating technologies to ensure high transmittance, pollution resistance, and energy threshold tolerance, laying a solid foundation for the birth of the P Series cutting head.

Challenge Two: Optical path design

HSG developed unique optical shaping modules that can intelligently adjust beam modes according to material and thickness, achieving rapid cutting of thin plates and precise cutting of thick plates. At the same time, the use of a long optical path shaping design improves the lifespan of optical lenses and the stability of cutting performance.

Challenge Three: Cooling system

The high temperature generated by high-power cutting is a challenge. HSG ensures the stability of the mirror temperature at 35~40℃ under 40KW power by optimizing cooling solutions such as sensor rapid cooling modules and optical temperature control technology.

Challenge Four: Intelligent control

HSG achieved real-time monitoring and automatic correction of cutting focus, intelligent perforation detection, improving processing efficiency. Meanwhile, intelligent bus boosting technology and fault alarm reminders enhance the intelligence level of the cutting head.

HSG's optical research continues to advance, launching a series of cutting heads from P10 to P60, covering powers from 10KW to 80KW, demonstrating HSG's innovation capability. HSG has not only made breakthroughs in the field of cutting heads but also gradually built a self-developed system covering three-dimensional five-axis cutting heads, pipe bevel cutting heads, etc., forming a unique innovative brand tone.

For HSG, innovation is its unchanging faith. The success of the P Series High Power Cutting Head is evidence of HSG's "From 0 to N" innovation journey.
